The Rover was well-received by our testers. Many commented on how stable the board felt in the impediment course, notably when executing the fast forwards and backwards train. Conversely, this model is pretty huge, and the consensus was that it was just a little harder (thus, less enjoyable) to do sharp turns and spins.
However, the most important criticism was that when at or near-maximum pace, the Rover would “pushback” the rider by tilting back the standing platform. This feature is obnoxious and uncomfortable, even in small doses.
The Halo Rover is currently available in 4 colours: black, white, blue, and pink. This board hit a top pace of 8.83 mph in our checks, comparing properly with the manufacturer acknowledged top speed of 9 mph. Unfortunately, this board is not going to slot in third-party equipment — a minimum of not any that we discovered — but our model did come with a carrying case.
Geared with two 400-watt motors (one in each wheel), the Halo Rover X boasts an unbelievable max speed of 10 miles per hour. As for range, a single cost will take you as much as 10 miles. Considering that the average is round 7 miles, this is means above standard.
Halo Rover X – In brief, the Rover X is an absolute powerhouse that’ll work excellently for nearly any use case. Whether you’re commuting in urban areas or want brief steep rides in off-road terrain you’re covered.
Halo Rover X – As for sturdiness, the Rover held up fairly effectively to our rigorous testing process. It obtained minor scratches, and we misplaced the cover to the power button someplace alongside the way. Additionally, the board’s rubber bumpers are vulnerable to falling off. It was unclear whether or not this was a design feature or a bug, however they snapped back on with little difficulty.
